A transformation is under way in the commercial printing industry, an evolution marked by need it now production and delivery, shorter run lengths, personalised marketing material and kinder methods to our environment.

The biggest advantage of digital print is its ability to produce bespoke and tailor made material whilst being less wasteful. No plates, instead we use a reusable Photo Imaging Plate or P.I.P. which can be used for multiple jobs.

Every impression made onto the paper can be different, as opposed to making several hundred or thousand impressions of the same thing from one set of plates. It’s possible to personalise and individualise both text and pictures using VDP. (Variable Data Printing.)

Setting up a Digital Press ready for printing takes less paper and time than Litho, this obviously saves, time money and wastage. Digital Print generates less waste in terms of chemicals, inks and paper used compared to lithographic processes.

Order the exact quantity required, rather than ordering large amounts via litho which are often thrown away.

It is excellent for rapid prototyping, or small print runs which means that it is more accessible to a wider range of designers.
